Keeping Employees and their Family Healthy
Medical, Dental and Vision: Our competitive health benefits are offered from top rated companies: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and EyeMed. Each benefit plan provides you with options based on the needs of you and your family and a full range of coverage options.
Health Savings Account: Novanta contributes an annual lump sum contribution to employee’s HSA account for those enrolled in the high deductible health plan. Employees can also contribute up to the IRS annual maximum each year.
Flexible Spending Account: We offer healthcare, limited purpose and dependent care FSA plans which provide tax advantages.
Telemedicine: 1800MD provides all employees fast and convenient access to quality healthcare 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Employee Health Clinic: Novanta has an onsite Employee Health Clinic in its Bedford, MA facility that provides acute care and health coaching. There is also a Health Clinic in our Mukilteo, WA facility that provides health coaching. For all other U.S. locations, a health coach is available for virtual health coaching services.
Plan for the Unexpected
Life and AD&D Insurance: Novanta pays for basic life and AD&D insurance at 2 times salary with minimum coverage of $100k. Employees are also able to purchase additional insurance for themselves, spouse and/or children at competitive prices.
Income Protection: Novanta understands the significance of having its employees take paid time off to care for his or her own serious health condition, to bond with a new family member, to care for a sick or injured family member or to fulfill military active duty. The Novanta Paid Medical, Parental and Family Leave Policy (PMPFL) provides up to 16 weeks of paid leave (at full pay) for a qualified parental or family leave and up to 20 weeks of paid leave (at full pay) for a qualified medical leave or military leave. We also offer a Long-Term Disability program to provide income protection in the event of an extended illness or injury that makes you unable to work.
Personal Insurance Programs: Novanta offers an opportunity to enroll in supplemental plans, including critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance, to enhance and complement the existing benefit plans.
Helping Plan for Tomorrow
Retirement: Novanta’s 401(K) plan has an auto-enrollment feature. In addition, Novanta will match 100% of the first 4% contributed by the employee (subject to IRS limits) and then 50% of the next 2%. Employees are immediately 100% vested in company matching contributions and earnings.
Time Off: We encourage our employees to take time to recharge and enjoy life outside of work. Novanta provides a flexible policy for exempt employees to take paid time off when they need it (includes vacation, bereavement, jury duty, sick, community service and all other personal business). Non-exempt employees are provided with paid time off based on length of service. We also provide all employees with 11 paid holidays each year and non-exempt with 2 floating holidays.
EAP: There are times when everyone needs a little help or advice. Our confidential EAP program can help you and your family with stress, legal issues, parenting questions and much more. This benefit is free to all employees and their families.
Group Legal: The legal plan allows employees to purchase access to a team of top attorneys ready to assist you to take care of life’s planned and unplanned legal events.
Back Up Care: Provides an extensive, directly contracted network of child care centers and in home care givers when you need it most.

Local Charities: Novanta believes in giving back. We support and participate in select local and national charities. We provide every employee with one paid day-off per year to volunteer at non-profit organizations supporting the elderly, the ill, those with physical disabilities, children and youth, refugees, or the environment. We have set a Novanta-wide goal of sponsoring 500 community service days by the end of 2023.
Tuition Reimbursement: Novanta helps employees continue their education by reimbursing tuition for approved courses and degree programs.
